Here at Nixie we don't exclusively build audio equipment. We also specialise in electronics & PCB repairs, electronics servicing, CNC manufacturing and other audio equipment modification in the Wanaka / Queenstown / Southern Lakes region.
Electronic Repairs
We are located in Luggate which is right between Wanaka, Hawea, Cromwell and Queenstown. For electronic repairs, if you are in the Wanaka, Hawea, Luggate, Cromwell or Queenstown area, drop in your faulty electronics to us for diagnosis and we will get back to you with a quote before commencing with the repair. You will be contacted when the repairs are complete and ready for collection. If you are else where in the South Island or North Island of New Zealand simply get in touch and we can organise a courier collection and delivery of the equipment.
Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your issue first. Prices tend to vary depending on the equipment as well as the severity of the fault and so we will typically need to see the equipment to advise.
We are able to work on and repair all things electronic from vintage thermionic valve (tube) amplifiers down to microscopic SMD components on newer equipment.
We keep stock of vintage, NOS and new vacuum tubes as well as most other electronic components.

As of 1/1/2025 our hourly rate is $90 p/hour +gst. After a maximum inspection fee of $90, a report will be given of the estimated additional time and materials, if any, to complete the repairs, before commencing with the work. However if the work can be repaired within the time allowed for inspection then it will be completed within the cost of the inspection fee.
We do offer a collection service if you are not in the area or too busy to drop off. Simply provide us with your address, the dimensions & weight of the box/ bag and we will send you a courier ticket to print out and stick on.
